The Touch Account is a bank account designed for people who want to manage their own money, but who may sometimes benefit from a little extra support from people they know and trust.
It’s your money, your account and your choices. You decide who supports you and how they can help. The principle is simple: support from others, not control by others.
Is the Touch Account right for me?
The Touch Account isn’t designed around a particular diagnosis, disability or age. It’s designed around how you want to manage your money.
You might be an adult with Down syndrome who manages everyday spending but wants some support with bigger financial decisions. You might be neurodivergent and find keeping track of money or staying financially organised difficult. Or perhaps your family or someone else you trust already helps you manage your money informally, and you’d like a safer, more structured way to do this.
What matters is that you can remain meaningfully involved in and in control of your finances, while having support where it helps you.
Support that works for you
With the Touch Account, you can choose people you trust to be part of your Support Circle. We confirm their identity and validate their relationship with you, and they have their own secure sign-in rather than sharing yours.
You then decide how they can support you.
For example, you might want someone you trust to be able to see what’s happening with your account, without being able to spend your money. You might choose for them to receive an alert if you make a larger payment, so they can check in with you if something doesn’t look right.
Or you might want someone in your Support Circle to have their own linked debit card, with an amount you control, so they can buy things on your behalf.
You can choose the level of support that works for you, because everyone’s circumstances are different.
The Touch Account is about helping you do more for yourself, while knowing that the people you trust are there when you need them.
